Becoming a Medical Assistant in Florida

How to enroll

To enroll in the medical assistant program at Bright Education Institute, all you have to do is submit a high school diploma or GED, a photo ID, a $150 registration fee, and the enrollment agreement.  You can choose to take day or evening classes that fit your life. The day sessions are Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm. The evening sessions are Monday through Fridays from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. 

Medical Assistant in Florida 

All classes are held at the Bright Education Institute campus in Dania Beach, Florida. The medical assistant program requires 800 clock hours. Students complete the program in 27 weeks, or 7 months, on average.  You will take 560 hours of theory and get 240 hours of applied practical training. The combination of theory and practical training equips graduates with the foundation of knowledge and skills needed for the job.  Some of the classes that you would take as a student include computer classes, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, psychology and patient relations, and medical labs.
